The new colors look quite nice and I’m sure will also look good on a uniform. The colors and detailing of the eagle are much better than the original golden yellow that has always been used in the past. The lettering contrasts well with the background. The purple color has traditionally been associated with world Scouting so the “100 Years of Scouting” looks like it might be referring to the Scouting Centenary in 2007 as opposed to the BSA 100th Anniversary in 2010, especially since there is no date indicated on the patch. The only thing I might have done differently is to ghost the fleur-de-lis and maybe only have one placed somewhere in the design. Because of their size, color, and placement, they detract from the main focal point of the eagle. Nevertheless, tell the artist it’s a nice job.
