Grandpa Had One Heck of a Trophy Banner
I had the trophy banner in the Hot Finds and if you saw it there you might be curious to see how it ended up. Turns out the seller answered some questions from bidders and the banner belonged to his grandfather who was apparently a professional Scouter. I don’t know much about khaki and red 1/2 strips but it looks like there are five on this leather animal skin shaped banner. It would be nice if any of you would care to weigh on by using the comment section below. While your at it please tell us why the #2 listing sold for just over $600 as well. I’m guessing its the square merit badge – who knew it was that good!?

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
