Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter December 1, 2017
A little further down in the newsletter I am sharing the edited video of our presentation at the event. One thing I’ve been trying to do through social media is build up a little positive buzz for the camp. This included making the first ever true meme using a website that specializes in those. I don’t know if you would describe it as the classic snarky themed meme but it worked for what I was trying to do.
Today I should get back over to warehouse space for at least 1/2 the day and see if I can move the shelving project along. I wish I could sneak up to the Roanoke TOR for a Friday only visit but my Scouting this week has stretched the family calendar as far as I can go.
I think I’m to the point that I’m going to have start turning down consignments. Usually I like to get them in but I’m so backed up getting those and my own stuff listed that I better wait to see how I close out 2017. The good news is that I do have some help so it’s not just a solo project down in my patch cave.
Last night I launched several dozen OA two-piece sets up for auction on eBay as 1st time runs. I was trying to cash in on the last chance to use my free November auctions that eBay gives me.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
