The other lady had a bombshell medal. What are the chances someone pings you out of the blue with an Air Scout Type 1 Ace medal? I couldn’t believe it….no really I’m not really convinced it’s authentic. But I’m going down the rabbit hole to see what her interest is in parting with it etc.

Of course her email says she has reached out to other collectors and I’m sure by now she is getting a barrage of emails back so that’s one reason why I’m sharing this story publicly to give everyone the view from behind the curtain on how these things go down.

In my collection I have the Type 2 Ace medal which is essentially the same piece with a different ribbon on it. For that reason I’ve never really lost any sleep over the idea of not having it. However, if this one fell in my lap it would be a keeper for sure.

I have 144 live auctions on eBay right now as I continue to run through over 800 CSPs that I’m posting up for sale. Meanwhile back at the office I’m prepping items for the silent auction that will be run during the Charlotte TOR. I plan on having as many as 500 items tagged and ready.

We are less than two weeks til the Charlotte TOR on April 5-6. I can still fit in a few more table reservations if your weekend has freed up and you can come on down. This week I’m hitting multiple Scout troop meetings to get the locals out!
