After filming the video I talked with the owner and made a deal to purchase the items. Turns out all this stuff belonged to his father who was very active in the 1960s including going to the 1969 Jamboree. His dad was a Vigil Honor member of Thunderbird Lodge in North Dakota.
As I did with the last collection I’ve made these items available to collectors who are in the Scout Patch Collectors Facebook Group. So far over the last 24 hours I have “rehomed” a number of items which is kinda the goal to get these back into circulation.
In most collections there are a handful of things that I keep for myself. One thing I like is his 1960s thick cotton Vigil Sash. That would look good in August when I go to Momentum. I’ve thought about a couple of other items like the sheath knife/hand axe combo but this one made by Imperial is not my favorite. I’m a fan of the one made by Western.
Every night I’m launching new auctions and in the Hot Finds I like to give everyone a quick link to the action. On $5dollarpatchstore I have 198 auctions on Council Shoulder Patches. On patchsniper you can find 171 auctions mainly on OA flaps. On OApatch I have 121 auctions on OA flaps and two-piece sets.
Some of the key pieces have already been sold out of this collection but if there is anything you really have an interest in send me an email and perhaps we can work out a deal.
