I will work up an infographic on this topic but I’d like to share a couple of key findings from my research on the topic that I think can be helpful to collectors. Many smaller sellers in the category may assume that having an eBay store is not a commitment they are prepared to make. However, my numbers show that if you are listing at least 100 different items a month then the basic level eBay store will save you money.
The other takeaway is that if you are selling a lot on eBay you can’t look at the total number of listings that are baked into the subscription. For example the next bump up is a premium level store that includes 1,000 fixed priced listings. However, the price point where that subscription level makes sense is actually 1/2 of that at about 500 items per month. So if you haven’t been paying attention to fees don’t pay a stupid tax in 2017 for not doing your homework.
Trying to do a weekly podcast means there will be a quick turnaround for next weeks episode. I’m sending out some email invitations today to line up some January guests. If you have an idea for a topic please reach out to me.
The sale that I’m running this week in my Patchblanket.com store is on Council Shoulder Strips at 20% off. In 2017 I’m moving back to my strategy of running small sales in unique categories in my store.
