Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter January 5, 2025

I assume like many married folks you sit down a few times per year with your spouse to plan out the family calendar. I did this yesterday and part of that ritual is seeing how many Boy Scout events and TORs I can sneak on the list. So far it looks like I won some and lost some for 2025.

The good news is that in February I will be attending 3 TORs which is probably more than I deserve. Right after Indy I will get to the Old North State NC and then later in the month to Norfolk VA. During March I am spending a week in Las Vegas going to a reseller conference. That will be my first time there and should be fun and hopefully I’ll make some good connections.

But April is the real problem and always has been. With the Charlotte TOR scheduled for the first weekend I might have to choose between attending one of the two conclaves (E7, E8) being hosted later in the month. The main issue here is that with the weather warming my wife wants us to plan some family trips. So I am probably going to lose one of those weekends. But our son is in high school and we only have so many Spring Breaks left with him.

I have 48 auctions running live this weekend on eBay. Tomorrow when I get to the office I will start the process of building back out the calendar for us to launch 50/day onto the platform. Lucky for me one of my helpers graduated college in December and she can add more hours . Another helper is going to start coming in more often as well. So it will be a team effort to get more inventory photographed and listed.
