Last night I attended the OA Winter Banquet for Muscogee 116 in Florence, SC. It was a 4 hour round trip but was worth the back roads to see so many of my Barstow brothers. The new lodge has really had a great inaugural year and I am very excited about the new youth leadership. The silent auction was a hit and I promise I did not bid anyone up.
I watch a lot of YouTube instead of any regular tv programs. Not silly cat videos but those by resellers in other hobbies and those pontificating on eBay. Last night I got a great idea from a sports card seller as I was driving to the banquet. He was sorting low end baseball cards (like those worth less than $1) and it occurred to me this was much like the sorting I’ve been doing in the warehouse. Without giving away the secret we are going to implement a version of his idea tomorrow when I get to work. Inspiration is everywhere!
We have begun selling tables for the Charlotte Trade-O-Ree to be held May 3-4, 2024. My plan is to visit the first of three District Round Tables next week so I can kick off the promotions for this event. My goal is to always make sure everyone knows about the event especially in the population dense Charlotte metro.
On eBay I have 287 live auctions running on mostly camp and SAPs. If my system is correct this number will level off to 220/week for the foreseeable future – at least that’s the goal.
