Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter January 29, 2019

In this episode our main focus is talking about the secret sauce of Trade-O-Rees. Both of us are just coming off of having been at shows and this is always a topic of conversation. How do you get more people to attend them? We both offer up some suggestions.

Another topic we hit is a first for the show. I do a quick book review of two new reference books that I’ve added to my collection. The first is Larry Lane’s book on early North Carolina camps. The second is the new 12 Region book by Bushore and Koppen that recently came in the mail.

The final segment of the show includes some shipping tricks now that the cost of USPS mail is going up. Instead of a mail bag we both offer up unusual things that we got for our collections at the recent TORs. It’s a bit longer than we planned but a good all around episode and one you can play in the background while you are otherwise making good use of your time.

I have 50 auctions running live on eBay right now. While I’m on the road at the Indy TOR I should be able to launch drafts that I’ve already built.

Brad and I are going to be together at the Indy TOR (he has to find a dog sitter first). We are hoping to film some Thread Heads shows from there and would love to include any collectors that have an idea for a topic. If you are not camera shy let’s get together at the TOR!
