Thread Heads #13: Trade-O-Ree Secret Sauce

The video chat show with hosts Brad England and Jason Spangler returns with an episode filmed immediately after the Dallas Trade-O-Ree in January. In this episode you can hear the results of the catalog presale strategy that Jason tried out prior to the recent South Carolina Trade-O-Ree. Then Brad delivers a Dallas Trade-O-Ree recap. Our main topic of discussion is what are best tips and practices to get people to attend your trade-o-ree. Jason shares how he is leaving no stone unturned to promote the Charlotte Trade-O-Ree.

TOR sponsors are you listening? We also speculate about how TORs are different today in the digital age versus back in the 1980s and 1990s. In many ways eBay and Facebook has given collectors the ability to find needs without the need to visit the can’t miss shows around the country.

In a first for Thread Heads we include a book review segment. Two books that recently came out are featured including Larry Lane’s book on early North Carolina camps and the 12 Regions book by Bushore and Koppen.

The closing segment of the show has tips and tricks on shipping including how you can save money by mailing things flat. We give a shout out to “free” eBay shipping supplies as well. To wrap up the show instead of a mail bag we go with items that we got at the recent TORs we both attended.
