Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter January 5, 2016

So funny thing about the early national meeting Indian breechcloth from Nayawin Rar 296. If you look closely you can see the seller adds that many people have asked him to sell the item off eBay but he states he is going to let the auction run. Yep! That is the underside of this hobby everybody wants to scoop their competition. I probably know all the collectors who asked him to sell it to them off eBay and those guys really like stuff with night hawks on it.

So here is another reason to join the Scout Patch Collectors Facebook Group. Multiple people came back and were offering up extra OA National Meeting patches on the site. Now they might not have been cheap but it beats bidding against somebody you’ve never met.

Any day that I can list some old felt camp patches is a good one for the Hot Finds. Now one of these days I’m going to spot a felt from my home camp sitting alone on eBay but that hasn’t happened in a long long time.

According to a blog post from Scouting Magazine I have now figured out a new way my daughter can attend the 2019 WJ. She will be old enough to make it onto the IST. But I’ve never had any experience with what the entails so if someone can fill me in that would be great. She is probably too young to get on via a contingent Venturing Crew because it will likely be very competitive.
