Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter February 16, 2024
In what has become an annual Presidents Day trip I am taking my son camping this weekend with the VW Bus people down to Edisto Beach State Park. As I am not active in a unit right now my camping nights have shrunk to almost nothing. So I need to spend some nights under the stars to get my groove back.
I don’t own a bus myself since selling mine about 20 years ago but I tag along with my friend Collin who is the real deal and is taking a Vanagon that he recently bought. Our menu for the weekend includes two Dutch Oven treats that I am making to contribute to the Saturday pot luck that they organize. I am going to try a Steve Eaton trick and back stacked ovens for the main course and dessert.
On eBay I have 254 auctions running this week including some nice southern OA ending Sunday. We have been photographing and prepping lots of OA so look for my next couple months to have plenty WWW.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
