Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter February 18, 2024

I just got home from the camping trip and decided there was enough time to publish a Hot Finds. The peach cobbler was a special hit at the potluck. This was just a lazy cobbler that I learned how to make maybe 25 years ago from Steve Eaton or Earl Dutton. But those non-Scout people don’t know all our culinary tricks so it was easy to impress them.

One version of my plan today was for me to drive down to northern Florida to pick up a really cool collection. But that opportunity is just a slow simmer right now so it will have to wait until the time is right. I did get a text message on another collection I’ve had an offer on for some time that was encouraging. Sourcing new inventory for the store is a 7-day a week role in the business.

I am running a 22% off sale in my eBay store on 12,500+ items this week. I have played around with all kinds of eBay promotions and usually am switching up my offers every week.

Tonight I have 100 auctions ending including some real heavy hitters. I don’t think many of you will be as interested in the .99 cent auctions I’m running to move a bunch of model trains in my store.
