Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter February 18, 2018
The thing I’m looking forward to the most is being able to put my hands on stuff that I now have tucked away in a storage unit. For example when I get questions from people about pins or merit badges or other unique things they are looking for my answer is quite often, yeah I’ve got some of those somewhere.
Right now I have 4 storage units but will condense that down to 2 large ones next week. Since moving to Charlotte two years ago I’ve landed three major collections where I had to rent either a van or uHaul to go pick up. If you add that to all the other stuff I already had it meant adding more storage units which was making that good inventory out of sight out of mind.
All this will mean that the silent auctions at the Charlotte TOR will be epic. I’m going to glean way down on what actually makes the move. Some of you might need to drive a van to that show if you you can take advantage of my chance to blow some inventory out.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
