I have about a week to get ready for the biggest TOR of the year in Indianapolis. This one is something because there is an element flea market there so it’s a buyers paradise. But I know you can always make some big sales so I’m prepping to bring the good stuff as well.
With my travel plans I am not sure I’m going to be able to bring all the plastic that I normally sell at the show. So what I’m encouraging everyone to do is place your order now through this link for Best Hobby Pages and you can get free delivery. I’ll make room to bring the orders but I might not have room for the heavy boxes that the pages and envelopes are stored in.
Yesterday for the first time that I can remember I actually had someone come to my house to sell me their Scout collection. This is normally strictly verboten as my wife has a rule that patches stay at the warehouse. But this guy was local to me in Charlotte and lives like 10 minutes from our house. He didn’t grow up in CLT and the collection was awesome so I was very happy. It will take a little time but I’ll try and price everything to take to the show.
On eBay this week I have 267 live auctions with a bunch ending every night of the week. My daughter is sorting my tubs of camp patches as we speak. She is on letter “K” and we have 8 long Jensen boxes ready to scan from letters A-J. I mentioned my old employee Angela who came by to see me last week. She took home two tubs of event patches to sort and scan. Believe it or not you can sell camporees on eBay but it only works when you do it in quantity.
Tomorrow is my crazy day. I officially have 6 meet ups planned! Three in Augusta, one on the way back and two meetings in Columbia to deal with summer camp hiring and program. My wife got tired just listening to me explaining all the items on the calendar but I call it being efficient!
