The auctioneer also serves as the camp’s program director and he was having some fun pulling more money out of people. If you weren’t careful your bid might from from $5 to $20 pretty quick last night. I donated four items that brought a little over $200 when the bidding was finished. The most unusual piece from my collection was the original punch pattern for our council’s iconic CSP. The Scouter who bought it is going to have it framed and hung on the wall in the dining hall.

I actually spent most of the day wearing my camp director “hat” at the Indian Waters Council Merit Badge University. I was there with my program director to interview staff and promote the camp. We had 7 good candidates come through and the Scoutmasters seemed receptive to our pitch. This was the 25th anniversary of MBU and this picture includes Paul Gowder who helped start it and Alex O’Neal who was there for many years in the beginning as well.

Tonight on eBay I have a bit run of tough SAPs from the Mecklenburg County Council including some where 100 or less were made. I also have a run of 10 cent auctions ending tonight. Last week I worked on getting auctions up and some of those are coming to a close.
