Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter March 20, 2018

Fun times in GA last night. We knew a big storm was headed our way and at 11:30 PM we all had to evacuate to a basement in the camp for a Tornado Watch. Needless to say we are all dragging a little bit today. The instructors include the program director of the Summit and a his counterpart at the Florida Sea Base. So I’ve really enjoyed getting coached up by the best.

When I return from Camp School I will only be 2 weeks out from the Charlotte Trade-O-Ree. The Cubmaster is holding a leaders meeting this week to get all the pack volunteers organized. We think we also have a line on some great Brunswick Stew to offer as a food option.

I have been toying with the idea of setting up an online trading post for camp this summer. The idea is that mom can buy things that Johnny needs while he is at camp from home and have her Scout pick it up from the trading post. The ladies that are down here from National Supply like the idea and want to stay in touch to know how it goes.
