Sometimes when I talk to people on the phone about their Scout collection I sit up straight in the chair. That was the case with this Eagle Scout from Texas who told me the bulk of the collection was from his dad who was an Assistant Scoutmaster at four National Jamborees from 1953-1964. Pretty much in this collection there are no items made after 1965 – how’s that for vintage? The second box contained stacks of uniforms from those early Jamborees along with other cool discoveries. I always say I like hearing the story when I purchase collections and this guy was happy to share his memories over the phone.
