Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter April 2, 2023
I have 8 weeks until I push off for summer camp & Jamboree. I have been doing a better job of identifying project goals so this narrow window will help me zero in. For example this week I’m determined to get all my merit badges listed. For me that’s everything from 1946 to the present.
In the next two weeks I’ll bring my old Shopfiy Store back online with new inventory and a new focus. That will coincide with me traveling to a pair of conclaves in April here in the Carolinas. Every few years the calendar aligns so that I can participate in the Cardinal Conclave and Cornerstone (formerly Dixie Fellowship). I love trading 1:1 at these events and just recycling patches with a handshake.
I have 37 live auctions running on OApatch ending tonight. One of the first things I’m going to do Monday is schedule auctions on this account out for the next month. I won’t go quite as heavy as my main account but I think I can squeeze out 10/day for a steady rhythm of new material.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
