Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter April 15, 2025
I posted a picture of the community strip lot on Facebook over the weekend and it got a hilarious reception. I think at least one person was offended but as these are actual town names I think the fun was in good humor.
Wednesday I have a rare visitor coming to the warehouse. From time to time people that I’m buying collections from will arrange a trip down south for some vacation and make a point to bring a collection to me. This collection belonged to the guys father and I believe he was an active trader. We shall see.
Another lodge for my collection! It looks like the S1 for Eternal Flame Lodge has been issued. I have to say I’m really going to be bummed if lodges are no longer going to use Indian names out of tradition. Maybe a new lodge could use some of those community strip names. They seem to be popular!
I have 230 live auctions on eBay including some that are ending today. These are mostly focused on OA flaps but there is a wide mixture of issues.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
