Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter April 23, 2024

 

Judging from the posts on Facebook I can see there are conclaves taking place across what we used to call the southern region here the last two weekends of April. I believe VA has there’s coming up this weekend along with E8 which is my home CST. I’ll be driving to Belk Scout Reservation Friday to attend what we now call the Cornerstone Conclave.

 

Table rentals for the Charlotte TOR are going well. There are less than 10 available – so if you want to come don’t get shut out. My goal is always to make sure that people know about the TOR so I’ve been mailing flyers and cards for months. I’m also promoting it as much as possible at these Carolina conclaves I’m attending.

 

Today I’m spending the day pulling stuff out of the warehouse! I’ve got to sort out piles of stuff that has been tossed on shelves. Not patches and neckerchiefs but more of the books, 3D items, bugles, hats, uniforms…..just all the “stuff” that I have gotten in the last year. Everything is going to go into a few different piles according to where it’s headed. Some to the TOR, antique mall and more.

 

On eBay I have 207 live auctions which is right in line with where I want to be each week. We are currently processing neckerchiefs and hat pins to get them listed soon.
