Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter April 21, 2024

 

I had a good time at the E8 Cardinal Conclave this weekend at Camp Raven Knob in North Carolina. Saturday I participated in the OAExpo with a booth on the tradition of campfire blankets in Scouting. I think I won over some converts and planted the seeds for some people to start a project!

 

There was some light patch trading Friday night and I got to see some of the familiar faces in the North Carolina circles. I caught up with Larry Lane, Evan Butler, Rick Horne, Jason Hardy, Paul Huffman and others that stopped by my table to chat. I also met several people who had read about the passing of my mother and I appreciated their condolences.

 

As of this morning there are 11 tables left to rent for the Charlotte TOR in 2 weeks! I did my best to promote the event at the conclave with signs and passing out cards and fliers. I even had my large banner behind my OAX booth.

 

Thanks to a listing glitch I only have one auction ending tonight and that is the Camp Kindaufawa emblem from PA. But all together I have 91 live auctions running right now.
