For a few years now with my daughter’s old troop when it came time for the Court of Honor, I’d get a visit from the advancement chairman. She would pick through my tubs and get just about every merit badge patch needed for the event and save the troop tons of money. I’ve now got all those dupes organized and am offering that same inside deal to all troops. I did a video about this effort that was posted on my site.

I’ve got about five thousand merit badges in stock that are the modern plastic-backed version with a plastic design. These are the exact same designs as those on the shelf in the Scout shop. My goal is to recycle these back into Scouting and also help a Scout be thrifty by saving 37% on-the-shelf sticker price for merit badges. With 1 business day of handling, we will get the order right out the door!

I’ve settled into a rhythm now with three eBay stores after lots of experimenting at the beginning of the year. My graphic designer is working on a new logo for the Best Hobby Pages store and I hope to get some good news there this week.

On Santeeswapper I have 190 live auctions featuring pins and camp patches. I tend to schedule my auctions out a month ahead so this being the end of the month it’s time to come up with that plan. The team at the warehouse has a few thousand more camp patches ready along with CSPs, OA, and more pins. Over on OApatch, I am running auctions every day too with 91 live auctions this week.
