Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter April 27, 2021
This week I published my latest unboxing video. This one is fun as the items I got were from New York but discovered in a trunk in TX. Every once in a while I get a call from somebody who was never a Scout but just stumbled across a collection. This one was hiding in a vintage trunk and the guy was super friendly to deal with.
When you watch the video I have to apologize that the first couple of minutes the video quality is not great. Thanks to my video editor he has coached me up on these. I now use 3 different cameras to make the videos better. But when one of those decides to blink out and not work it can lead to an awkward angle. About 1/2 way through the video I figured it out and the last part is solid.
Today at the warehouse I am batch filming some unboxing videos so that I’ll have May covered. I’ll have to do the same with podcast interviews so that I don’t have a big fall off during the summer when I’m playing camp director. One box is one of those home runs where I managed to snag one of my Top 10 needs randomly.
I have
261 auctions on eBay including the beginnings of a month long emphasis on National Jamboree items. As I sort things in my warehouse I try to sort out the best pieces to give a chance at auction. After putting together 5 long boxes of Jamboree stuff to sell I’ve got a bunch of auctions lined up on some of the interesting pieces.
This morning I’m getting my camp physical done in preparation for this summer. This week so far I’ve had on zoom that lasted 1.5 hours talking about COVID precautions. Next up Thursday is more Zoom interviews and an all staff Zoom Sunday PM. I love my “part time” job! 🙂
