Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter April 9, 2024
I have given away so many Chadek items during my time as a camp director. One year I think I gave almost all the key leaders a refurbished vintage hand axe which I hope was a real keeper of a gift. Sure beats a coffee mug!
Last night I visited the meeting of Troop 133 at my home church. They are the unit that is putting on the concessions for the Charlotte TOR. Our pack is the main sponsor so we really try and make it be a unit based fundraiser. It also helps to get Scouts to the show which is always a plus!
On eBay I have 216 live auctions featuring exclusively OA flaps and lots. I’ve tried something different in this run. In order to avoid listing singles, I’ve made small lots of a single lodge. I can’t say it’s been a home run but it does raise the average price and helps me move more inventory.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
