Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter April 12, 2024
Today I’m meeting a storage lot picker to take a look at a collection. These are my least favorite people to deal with. They #1 don’t have a clue what they have so they are very suspicious of any honest feedback you give them. #2 you to into the deal with them having their guards up so everything is awkward. But wish me luck and we’ll see how it goes.
On eBay I have 211 live auctions featuring almost exclusively OA flaps. So I can honestly say the results are in on this experiment. I think it’s better to have a mixture of different niches in my offerings. Just auctioning one type of item (even if they are desirable flaps) I have seen a sales dip recently.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
