Boy Scout Collection Unboxing Grandfather and Grandson Eagle Scouts
This unboxing represents quite a legacy. It was very difficult for the lady I dealt with to part with these items from her loved ones. Her dad was an Eagle Scout in the early 1930s. He was an influence on her son who also became an Eagle Scout. But after her son passed away she knew that there was no one else in the family who would appreciate and hold onto these items. We talked on the phone several times and came up with a plan. I told her I would keep the items together as a display especially since her father’s Eagle Scout sash and medal were very special. I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
