Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter May 29, 2020

Another collection that I got in this week features items from the Juniata Valley Council in PA. There are some nice OA pieces along with camp items and even a coveted shoulder strip. I’ll try and get those thrown up this weekend too if my Friday can be productive.

Later today I’m probably going to end my subscription to the service that allowed me to sell items from live videos. Unfortunately, Facebook was not playing nice with them and took away some of the features that made the service intriguing for me. Most importantly when I went live I could no longer message the 586 customers that had signed up with a link. I’ll poke around a little bit more before I pull the plug but it was very time consuming to prep and do those videos and without the ability to reach out to folks and build up the live stream it’s not worth it.

I had an interesting discussion yesterday with some other eBay sellers regarding having multiple stores to try and beat the eBay fee regime. Since the pandemic began eBay gave it’s store owners 50k free listings and their platform wide numbers have been super-charged. I hope they will consider giving sellers an unlimited plan like they do in other countries so I can put everything in one store to make life easier.

On patchsniper I have 120 auctions including lots of OA 2-piece sets. On OApatch I’ve got 196 auctions with dozens ending tonight on flaps mostly. On the $5dollarpatchstore I’ve got 261 auctions including neckerchiefs, camp patches and shoulder insignia.

If you want to take one more look at the military patch album before I list the patches at auction here is a link. It’s been a whole new world stepping my toes into listing militaria for sale and I think as much as possible I’ll try and stay in my lane.
