Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter May 03, 2020

This weekend all kind of news broke very quickly on the summer plans. Of course many of you know that NOAC was canceled. But the silver lining could be that the BSA gets to test out the idea of holding a NOAC like event at the Summit. They are proposing to host an event called Momentum over the same dates as NOAC but in West Virginia. Stay tuned!

The other piece of breaking news was Philmont is pushing back it’s open date to July 1. The call I was on Thursday with National BSA seemed to suggest that the camps that are planning on opening this summer are going to push back into July to give themselves more time to ride out the reopening that has started in many states.

I’ve got auctions ending tonight on a couple of accounts. Patchsniper has 181 auctions on OA flaps. OApatch has 162 auctions with more being launched every day.

If you are an eBay store subscriber don’t forget to take advantage of your Q2 free shipping supplies. I went ahead this morning and cashed in my coupon. Nowadays you do get charged sales tax on these “free” purchases but that’s life. Remember you find the code under Manage Store> Subscriber Discounts.

Next week should be very productive as I’ve got several projects I’m right in the middle of (literally spread out on a table). I’m focusing on my consignors now that I’m settled in the new location trying to make sure May is a profitable month for them.
