Back in 2012 I attended the Dallas TOR and more importantly a session that the late Dr. Terry Grove did with Ron Oslin and Jim Erickson. This was during the time that I was just starting my podcast so I received permission from the presenters to video tape their talk on 100 Years of Eagle Scout Patches. Just this morning I discovered that I had that video (which I had sorta lost track of) so I posted it on my website along with the PowerPoint that they also shared with me.
At that same Dallas TOR I believe I interviewed several collectors for my podcast. It’s hard to believe all that was a decade ago! I am still trying to keep that creative juice flowing in the hobby with other projects. I’ve got a guest booked for an interview coming up and am still testing out new platforms. If you want to go back and listen to any of the old podcasts you can always find them at my website.
I am going to focus today on doing a “swap out” at my antique mall this week. The old joke in that business is that every once in a while you need to move everything in your booth from one side to the other. For me I try and swap out the inventory from time to time. So this week I’m going to do a major overhaul with swapping in t-shirts for Girl Scout uniforms. I’m also going to replace a bunch of the books with different titles.
I have 258 live auctions on eBay this week. Some of you might want to go visit my eBay store because yesterday I listed nearly 1000 new items including lots of event patches, belt buckles and neckerchief slides. I am working on getting more stuff listed and auctions built out for the rest of April.
Thanks to a suggestion from one of my Scouting Hot Finds Insiders I am going to make a video next week on consignment selling. This one I am going to attempt to make more generic to selling anything but of course main focus is helping those young and old newer to this model grow their eBay business.
