This week I published a new unboxing video that features a collection from Michigan. Based on the items in there I believe the guy did most of his Scouting in Detroit. This video went a little sideways when I realized there were actually two boxes that came in but I stitched it together pretty good. There is a link below to view it.
The one things I kinda slipped up on was paying to have so many books shipped to me. I will be able to recycle most of the books but the cost of shipping so many across the country is kinda not worth it. I was reminded that I need to do a better job of communicating up front with people.
Today I’m going to go live with an unusual unboxing. I sent off a big trove of sheath knives and hand axes to Bill Chadek to get restored. I’ve seen pictures but the box arrived yesterday and I’m anxious to see the beautiful items in person.
I have 323 live auctions on eBay right now including pins, shoulder patches and OA. One of the projects I’m working on with a deadline coming up is getting one last big push for the antique mall booth. I am going to be gone for essentially two months so I need to get some fresh inventory in there and be able to let it glide for June and July and still turn a profit.
Today my wife literally made me change shirts. In my daily routine I wear a BSA t-shirt to work and from a recent collection I pulled a deep orange one that my lodge made for the 2003 Dixie. She said it was “just no” and so I agreed to swap it for another new shirt that was toned down. I guess that one will have to go in the summer camp trunk so I can wear it among Scouts who can appreciate it’s awesomeness. 🙂
