Wait…I thought the Merit Badge market tanked?
I think about three months ago I wrote a blog post about conversations I had with collectors that led me to believe that the prices for vintage merit badges had plummeted. Well although its a thin bit of evidence I’d like to show you three auctions that defy that logic. Coming with just a single bidder here are three merit badges that sold for over $300. Now I couldn’t leave out the best sashes that sold last week although they seemed to be priced at a more reasonable level.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
