Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter June 4, 2021
Tomorrow on the way home from vacation I’m making a detour to Aiken, SC in order to buy a small collection. The owner is driving over from GA and that’s our 1/2 way spot. He is really old school so it’s person to person and cash only on this deal.
This weekend I am headed to Barstow for a staff weekend. We have about 40 members of the staff who have volunteered to come out for a weekend to help get program areas set up and complete some training. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone and making progress as we have staff week starting June 13.
I have 199 live auctions on eBay with a batch ending every night of the week. This Sunday I have about 20 Scout flags ending that will be fun to watch as these are really unique pieces including some council and Jamboree flags.
We have had a great week on vacation but now it’s time to head home. My kids spent hours at the beach and pool but now they miss their cat especially. We got a cutie during COVID and he has become the baby of the household for sure!

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
