After coming home from vacation a few hours later we still made it to my daughter’s troop meeting. Our special visitor for the night is a lady who works for BSA National Supply. She really wants to visit our girl troop and get ideas about products, uniforms and other merchandise. Some of the girls were very anxious to share with her their stories of trying on uniforms when all this started about 4 months ago. Some of the girls (including mine) cried in frustration (real tears!) when they first put on the uniform. Apparently girls and guys aren’t shaped the same way. Who knew?
The other upside of making the acquaintance of someone who works at Westinghouse Blvd is I told her about the Charlotte TOR March 27-28, 2020. I planted the seed that “maybe” she could run it up the flagpole to have the warehouse come sell some overstock at next year’s show. I even offered her free tables. 🙂
If anyone is looking for a complete Dixie Fellowship collection I have been contacted by a seller looking to move a set. For those of us in the Carolinas this is a wonderful collection that usually takes years to complete. If you are interested let me know and I’ll share more details.
There will be an unboxing video filmed at some point today. I will probably stream it on Facebook Live first and then get it on YouTube later today. I really don’t know what’s in there but I can’t wait to find out. This was shipped to me site unseen.
This will probably by my last Friday newsletter for the next 2 months. Last summer I was overwhelmed serving as camp director and missed so many publishing dates. So going into it I’ve decided to reduce the load by postponing the Friday issue until August. The summer time is a cool down period for TORs so I can come back on the other side of summer camp recharged and ready to go.
