Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter June 11, 2021

I was contacted by a Los Angeles based costumer a few weeks ago. They are filming a movie that includes a scene with over 100 Scouts set in the early 1960s. I was able to provide them with over 100 pounds of uniform parts to help make everything as authentic as possible. But I am tapped out and need your help!
I have reached out to a couple of guys already but since I need to cast a wider net to help the costumer I’m putting this plea out to my fellow Scout Patch Collectors. Do you have some early 1960s uniform parts (neckerchief, troop #, adult size cotton uniforms) that you can sell me so that I can get them in the movie? I can’t get your name on the credits but I will give you acknowledgement on my website. Here is the link to learn more.
I have 185 live auctions on eBay this week with a nice group ending Sunday. If all goes well I’ll be able to maintain this strategy on “autopilot” while I’m working at Scout camp. Luckily I have two great ladies that have worked for me over a year and they do a good job with running the business.
It’s exciting to have a chance to be part of a little movie magic. I’m not going to share the details of the movie as I have not been told many but if you do a little googling you might find a familiar name attached to a movie set in the 1950s-60s being shot in Phoenix Arizona. 🙂
