It’s always fun when I get a collection that includes multiple generations from the same family. These Scouts are from the Thomas Edison Council in NJ but likely the dad did his Scouting in the 1950s. What’s cool is it looks like both father and son attended Philmont during their days in the program. The other cool pieces in the collection are historical trail medals of which there are many to be earned in the northeast.
This unboxing took place in the back of the warehouse during a time when I was in the middle of a monster sorting project. In the video you can see how I take items and put them into containers with similar pieces. That’s the most efficient way for me to sort and organize all the collections that I purchase.
If you have a collection similar to this one that is sitting in a closet, basement or other dark corner of your house please reach out. Feel free to text/email/call me to share your Scouting story. I’d love to help you recycle your Scouting memorabilia back into the hobby.
