Another week at camp (sadly our last for Scouts) and I’m trying to get the newsletter caught up. We did our final Pop Up Scout Museum program last night. Matthew Delk will likely not be at camp next summer due to some other commitments but we will continue to grow this idea. I know some camps have their own museums on site but we don’t sadly at Barstow.
One of my post-camp projects is to sit down in August and think about what my marketing focus will be in the fall. Usually when I’m at the beach (the last week of August) I can dream up some ideas. That is where the idea for Scouting Hot Finds Live came from. Now I just have to refine how to pull that off efficiently so it does not eat up an entire day. But if any of you have ideas for what direction I should go please send them over.
I am now running auctions on all three of my eBay accounts on a daily basis. That includes SanteeswapperStore and OApatch. The secret to eBay is that you have to be consistent to get your listings to be shown in their algorithm. So I am launching a small number of auctions every night of the week to feed the formula.
On Santeeswapper I am running 124 live auctions this week focused on camp and World Jamboree auctions. I’m looking forward to doing some patch trading at the National Jamboree and coming home with some new items to list and for my collection.
