Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter August 02, 2019

I don’t know if August is really when the action on eBay heats up but I’m going for it anyways. Yesterday I got over 100 World Jamboree items listed that I was able to bring home after 3 days of visiting.

I have not really been watching closely to see which of the WSJ items are doing the best. I traded for a few goodies though including the Ireland set and a few contingent neckers that will launch tonight. I also traded for a Bhutan Contingent patch which I was told they only had 6 people in their group.

I got word from Doug Schwab that there will be a book made from nice pictures taken of the World Jamboree museum that was set up. He must have seen me going around taking pictures of everything through the glass. I don’t know when that project will roll out but I told him to put me down. Here is a picture of the 1924 sash featuring the very first Eagle patch. The museum also included complete sets of the impossible subcamp patches from 1937 and 1947.

It’s been a long time since I’ve mentioned my off-eBay store that I run at www.ScoutPatchHQ.com. To celebrate the end of summer (or at least mine!) I am running a sale that gives you 19% off the asking price on the site. Use this link or the discount code 19off to get the coupon added to your order.

Turning to August projects one will be building out the TOR calendar below and also on my Scoutpatchcollectors.com site. I hope to also do some more commercials for TOR sponsors to help them get people to show up.
