Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter August 27, 2021

Monday I have a call scheduled with my audio and video editor to come up with some strategies for a new series of videos I’d like to produce in the fall. This is where having someone with knowledge of their industry comes in handy. Samuel has helped me to increase the quality of my content and before I start on a new project I want to get his input and guidance.

Speaking of videos I have some new unboxing videos ready to be published in the coming weeks. I usually like to put out a new one on a Monday so look for one to be highlighted in the Hot Finds next week. Speaking of unboxings there won’t be one for the collections that I pulled in from my trip down south but I am going to film a video for my Scouting Hot Finds Insiders

I have been running a bunch of auctions on activity patches this week and going into next. I know it’s very hit and miss to put up a 1950s or 1960s event patch for auction. But instead of just listing them at a set price I feel like this is a way to get them a little more attention. Sunday I hope to launch a big wave of vintage OA which has become my bread and butter.

This weekend the family is going to try and steal one more weekend from the summer of 2021. Despite the fact that school started this week we are going to the beach! It’s a long drive from Charlotte but the weather has just been super hot lately so why not get out in the ocean to cool off. I think I love mother nature more as a happy place but splashing around in the Atlantic is a lot of fun on a South Carolina beach.
