Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter July 01, 2018

It’s been a long three weeks since I’ve been able to publish the newsletter but I think this picture helps explain why. Serving as the Camp Director at Camp Barstow has been an all consuming job with a typical 14 hour day. But the feedback from Scout leaders is we have put on a good camp and I know that I’ve made memories including this picture of Patrick my son before we went out on the Bull Moose Hike Thursday night.

I usually try and keep in touch with the readers in the newsletter so trying to recap that last three weeks of camp would be impossible. If you really want to see some pictures and video you can like our camp’s Facebook Page or Instagram account and I’ll let the pictures tell the story.

One package arrived while I was gone. The 2018 NOAC patches issued by the Scout Patch Collectors Facebook Group are in and will be shipped out early next week to those who have purchased a set. This year we went with a Fire and Ice theme. I will be at the Pre-NOAC TOR and of course the event as well so I hope to see many of you there.

Now that it’s July I’m turning attention towards the NOAC. For those of you who are fans of Best Hobby Pages I’ve got a special deal for you. You can get free pick up at the Pre-NOAC TOR when you place your order and use the checkout code “PickUp”. So if you know it’s time to restock go ahead and order now online and I will package and hand deliver your order to the show.

I have been gone for 3 weeks but thanks to my great employee I’ve kept the store running and everything shipped out. Right now I’m running a 25% off sale on select items in my eBay Store.

I have about 10 more days of fun at Camp with a short Cub Scout event and our final week of camp. I’ll be all done by July 15. My family is going on vacation the two weeks before NOAC including a trip to Maine. Hopefully by then I won’t be waking up dreaming about songs, scoutmaster meetings and program notes.
