I am halfway through my next book club and this time it’s got me thinking about Best Hobby Pages. On the website I give kinda the standard list of a dozen reasons why it’s a great product. But what I lack is a story and that’s what the focus of the book I’m reading is called Building A Story Brand by Donald Miller.
In any story there is a hero, a guide, a problem and some other elements. His book also has some great ideas about building a lead generator and focusing on referrals. So what I need to find are some Best Hobby Pages super fans that I can interview about how they decided to use the product. Having sold tens of thousands of pieces of plastic I assume I know why people choose to store their collections in this system but I’m sure each collector has their own story.
So my ask is that if any of you are a new or long term user of BHP let me know if I can interview you over the phone about the product. I want to hear your feedback and comments about your journey.
In a recent collection I got some military patches from WWII that I am auctioning off. It’s easy enough to ID them using Google Lens (thank goodnees) but understanding the market for these is a mystery. So I listed them at auction and we will see what happens.
