Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter August 23, 2022

This morning my main project is to take my unsold 2022 pieces and post them in my eBay store at BIN prices. I’ll just take my minimum bid from the auction strategy and convert that to the fixed price. My nearly 4 week run of auctions paid off and I sold many of the better pieces. But even with all that I have a lot of variety to put in the store.

I might be getting out on the road over the next 7 days to go potentially land some collections. I’ve got two in the Charlotte area and then possibly four north of me if I can come up with a route and line up all the people. It’s dicey to see a collection cold because you have no idea what they have or what the expectation is. I’d much rather have a deal made and just show up to pick it up!

I am making progress in working with a new printer to source the card stock I need for the Best Hobby Page envelopes. It’s hard to believe there is a national shortage of paper! But hopefully, this new local company can get me back in stock as I know some people need my two-pocket envelopes to organize their collection.

On eBay I have 266 live auctions running on a variety of items. For the rest of the month, my daily mix includes OA, Historic Trails, JSPs and event patches. So keep checking to see what pops up!
