Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter August 31, 2018
I started my work day just before 6 AM and am rolling through a productive Friday leading into the holiday weekend. Earlier I recorded a video on 5 reasons why Facebook has been good the last couple of weeks. I’ll share some of those in today’s newsletter.
I need to clean off my sorting table so it’s time to sell down my inventory of 2018 NOAC issues. Starting this weekend I’m running a 25% off sale on all my issues. That’s a pretty good savings so check out the sale if you still are looking to pick up some pieces.
One of the big reasons I’m so thankful for the Scout Patch Collectors Facebook Group is the ability to get questions answered so quickly. I recently got a merit badge sash which had some mysterious camp patches on them. Thanks to Matt Perryn I was pointed to a Kansas City Scouting history website that had everything I needed.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
