If I’ve learned one thing from hosting a TOR – you had better NOT make it a well kept secret. As the organizer the responsibility you have is to get people in the door. At my TOR we have free admission so it’s not about the door draw. It’s about the energy in the room Last night at 4 different Round Tables in 2 different councils fliers were out for the show. I’ve mailed fliers to contacts in over a dozen lodges in the surrounding states who have agreed to put them out at their next event. I’ve had other dealers offer to put the flier in their mailings which is VERY generous.
We have plenty of tables available for the event! Normally with a long lead time we sell out weeks before the show. But with the late start we have wall tables and inside tables available. You can get information on the show, directions, hotels etc at the website www.charlotteTOR.com.
This week on eBay I have 222 listings up for bids. This includes trail patches, old felt event patches, high adventure and more.
Yesterday I cleared the field. In a marathon I opened every box in the warehouse (some dating back to May). Of course when I went to my UPS store there were 3 collections waiting so I’m behind again. But when I can get started today I will try and finish the rough sort of all these items that I’ve unboxed. Then the fun starts try to get everything sorted scanned and listed.
