Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter September 13, 2019

The first wave of Elangomat auctions are ending this weekend with about 5-dozen of them headed to a close. I really am curious to see if this is the type of rare items that will bring out some sniping. I’ve set them all to end on Sunday so that should be the time for the gavel to fall.

Another one of my eBay accounts is starting a run of conclave patch auctions. I’m starting 1-dozen new auctions every night until I get through the hole box. That will run most of the month as the box was pretty full. The first couple dozen are already launched..

I spent most of the work day Thursday sorting through over 3,000 pictures that were take this summer at Camp Barstow. We are in the crunch time of getting our promotional items together and my goal was to sort those into about 20 different categories so we can get more troops coming to Barstow in 2020.

Last night my daughter won the election for Assistant Senior Patrol Leader. She put together a roughly 1-minute speech and stuck to a theme of making the meetings and outings more fun. Right off the bat she is missing this month’s camping trip because of a church youth retreat but now that she is on the PLC I look for her to take some ownership for helping to plan the meetings and put on a good program.

It’s a quick turnaround in NYC. We are off to see the Statue of Liberty in a few minutes and then tomorrow we have tickets for Wicked on Broadway! Our plane home is Sunday so we are packing it in.
