Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter September 13, 2024
Today I have a very special unboxing of some Holy Grail items for my collection. But the real story here is that these two items fit right into my Mission and Vision for my business. The story I share in the video helps explains why I’ve spent over two decades building this business.
So as TOR season really starts to heat up (there is one in Ohio this weekend) I hope that more sponsors will set aside space for displays as we did in Charlotte. I know many of you do display your collections at council and lodge events (share those posts on social media!). Even further many of the readers are involved with local camp museums and other efforts to preserve our history and promote Scouting. I am happy to share your story and this might be a good topic to reignite the podcast.
On eBay this week I have 127 auctions with a bunch of those being OA flaps and issues. Over the last few days I’ve been spending hours reloading merit badges into my eBay store that are from the last 50 years.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
