Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter September 6, 2024
I know many of the readers set their eyes on collection needs as you scour the Internet for deals. I on the other hand practice one of the laws…a Scout is Thrifty! I’ve spent a lot of effort this week sourcing deals on office supplies. I was thrilled to get thermal printing rolls for less than $1 each. I got a Dymo printer on Whatnot and today am driving to get over 2,000 padded envelopes for a steal.
But being a little too exuberant also backfired this week when I bought an $800+ HP printer as an Amazon return for a fraction of that. But it doesn’t work which is why the original people returned it! Oh well I’ll take that back and get some store credit and lick my wounds.
On eBay this weekend catch the 140 live auctions I have running in the category. Many of these are OA flaps including a bunch from Hawaii.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
