Death in my Family

Jason hope this is okay if i post this… A fellow scout and cloth collector has passed away way to early in his life…

My little brother joined my troop back in Feb.2009, he was having tons of fun in Boy scouts…He went to his First and last TOR with me 1st weekend in MAY and he got hooked… I had a started a collection to present to him when he joins the OA… My brother was going to VA to help someone move stuff, but the van hydro-plained went off the road into a tree, when he was ejected out his seat threw the windshield… He has passed.. cause of brain damage… he will be missed proudly… He was rewarded honorary Eagle scout tonight at the scout meeting… My little brother was only 13 when he passed… Just so hurtful to have to watch your little brother pass away in front of your eyes then have to bury him, our troop is giving him a Scout Honor Guard Funeral..

Sorry but i have sent this to Jason he wanted to know what was going on….

Just thought i tell the story of a cloth collector

I’m so sorry to hear this terrible news. Don’t have much to say in comfort, but I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Shawn its such a terrible tragedy that there are few words of sympathy that can express how awful this is. I know that I appreciate you thinking enough about your Scouting friends on the site that you would open up and share this news. I hope the lord will keep your family strong through the days, weeks and years to come of missing your little brother. My faith tells me that he is at peace with God now.

Shawn…

It is indeed tragic that your brother has entered that clearing at the end of the path so soon in his life.

You don’t really know me, and I obviously didn’t know your brother– but we’re all brothers in Scouting and thus your loss is ours as well.

I can only pray that you and your family stay strong throughout this and are able to keep you brother alive in your hearts, where he will live forever.

Also, as Jason stated, I know that he has found peace with the Creator.

Yours in Scouting
