Many of you can relate to this situation. For the last two days all I have done is spend time on bookkeeping in advance of the Oct 15 deadline (yes I always file an extension because I hate taxes). Now that I have turned everything over to the bookkeeper that they asked for I am ready to crank out a bunch of new inventory in my eBay store.
This week I was able to pick up a local collection that had some stuff out of NJ in it. One of the best pieces was late 1930s merit badge sash. I wish the Eagle medal was with it but that is probably hiding in a box somewhere. The lady described how much stuff her grandfather had and there daunting job to go through all of it.
I have 96 live auctions on eBay right now including almost 50 vintage OA issues that are ending Sunday night. You can check them all out in my Patchblanket eBay store.
The next few weeks will be pretty busy with camp promotion. Next Thursday I have a camp expo to attend in Rock Hill, SC. Then ten days later we host an open house at Camp Barstow to let troops see what all the fun is about. One of the surest signs that we ran a great summer camp was that I now have 28 potential youth staff members on a waiting list who want to get hired for next summer (that’s new hires!). These Scouts were so ready to get in the outdoors after COVID that they really enjoyed themselves.
