Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter November 25, 2016

The vintage block this morning has some good old World Jamboree pieces. I need the Assistant Scoutmaster patch for my insignia collection. I’ve been negotiating with a guy to purchase a collection that includes one so I’ll hold out in hopes I can get it in that deal.

The OA block today has a nice mixture of lodge issues along with a section conclave n/c and a funky sash. I’ve got a reproduction felt sash that I sometimes wear to lodge events but would you believe that it has some moth holes in it. I guess that makes it look more authentic.

I’ve seen quite a few old sashes on eBay but typically they are only going to have the common badges on them that many Scouts earned. The last time we saw a sash with truly killer MBs it sold for thousands of dollars.

Up at auction this weekend I’ve got neckerchiefs from various Scout camps and councils. The consignment items I have up include a couple hundred Jamboree sets and shoulder strips.
